About the Curriculum

AYM Math offers two curriculums for High School Math: Saxon and Math U See.

AYM only offers Saxon courses for elementary students at this time as we feel the curriculum is accessible by most students. Once students reach Pre-Algebra, they can choose from our Math U See and Saxon classes.

A student following the Math U See path will receive one year of credit to correspond to the name of the course taken.

A student on the Saxon path, upon completion of Saxon Algebra 1 and Algebra 2, will receive full credit for Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and Geometry, though a traditional Geometry course is offered for those who would like to pursue more study on the topic.

If you have questions about where a student should be placed you may contact an AYM Teacher. The Resource page offers more detailed information about places to find needed curriculum.

Grading

Students and parents can access their grades at https://www.thinkwave.com. Please contact your child’s teacher for the code. The student syllabus will have the class grading policy. Parents are responsible for grading homework assignments.

Payment Information

Please see registration information for application fee and monthly tuition information. Please write monthly tuition check out to your individual teacher. The first payment for the school year will be due at Orientation in August. Payment will be due by the 15th of each month August-April. A late fee of $25 will be applied to late payments.

Inclement Weather

AYM follows the same guidelines as the local Denton school districts. If Denton ISD is closed due to inclement weather, we will not hold classes.
